the P fam!

The fall colors have come out to play!  The perfect opportunity for a family photo session :)  Colton (a senior that I took portraits of a little while ago) and his family joined me again!
So first I snapped a few more grad photos of Colton with the season's lovely leaves....
ps. I so seriously adore mid-laughter smiles
my favorite by far.
then we'll add the sister ;)
another genuine smile--love it Madison!
how awesome is this sibling photo?  (it would make a gorg canvas.....)   ;)
and now the whole happy fam!
helloooooo amazing Christmas card :)

Emme

This little lady reminded me why I love photographing little ones so much
(despite the fact that they don't really pose or hold still for you at all :)  )
They have the most luminous, flawless skin, and incredibly vivid eye color.
Plus, they do fun things like stopping to smell the roses eat some dirt.
I have yet to photograph a wedding when the bride does something as awesome as that :)
this little girlio loved playing peekaboo, which resulted in some great smiles
so this photo reminded me of a baby gap model :)  such a darling face
adorbs
more peekaboo!
 and i just couldn't help myself :)
i know this won't go in a frame or anything....but how cute (and real) is a baby sampling some dirt.
delicious--bahaha :)

colton class of 2012

heeeere's your sneak preview :)  colton was so laid back and fun to photograph, and had some great ideas for places to go, which was awesome because these photos will be completely unique as a result!  plus, colton has those kind of eyes that tend to change color depending on where he is or what he's looking at --- stellar :)   and it doesn't hurt to have a little sister who is willing to stand and block the sun and say funny things so we get those sweet, natural smiles :)
An early congrats on your pending graduation colton!
I look forward to your family photos soon :)

heidi + corey

Heidi and Corey were married at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis followed by a reception at Target field, thus explaining the above baseball :)  The talented Molly Olivier of M.A. Olivier Inc. located in Cold Spring assisted me--thanks for the amazing shots!  It also doesn't hurt when you have amazing locations, an incredibly photogenic couple and fun bridal party to boot :)
Here are a few highlights of their beautiful wedding day!
Since Heidi and Corey did not want to see each other before the ceremony we arranged for this photo of them on the cathedral's steps on either side of the pillar (no peeking allowed!)
they couldn't see each other, but they held hands for a brief moment.
a little bird told me that the groom may have gotten a little teary-eyed after this moment....  :)

The groom and his men
hehe :)

The bride and her maids

seriously stunning.
seriously.

the kiddos :)
they may not always be the most willing to have their photo taken,
but darn it if they aren't cute anyway--haha

Heidi mentioned that more photojournalistic style portraits were her favorite. so we got sneaky...I bet she doesn't even remember many of the photos we captured of her :)
genuinely gorgeous
the ceremony begins.
dad to the bridal train rescue :)
absolutely amazing cathedral

and now presenting mr. and mrs.  :)

This bridal party was super fun
seeeee--I told you, super fun--haha
further evidence

target time!
pretty sure the toasts may have been my favorite part of the whole day...you two are certainly loved!
first dance

get down get down :)
Heidi and Corey, thanks for letting me take part in your special day in such a special way!  Of course, there is a lot more where this came from :)  You are such a thoughtful, loving, fun and inspiring couple that deserves the very best--congratulations!
